Title: Maintenance Electrical Technology Lead
Location: St Gabriel, LA

Salary: $ 105,000 - $125,000
Schedule: 4x10 or 9/80 shift available

Focus: The Maintenance Electrical Technology Lead will work with a team of highly skilled crafts, Maintenance Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Maintenance, and plant personnel to deliver reliable electrical equipment repairs and implementation of reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities include overseeing electrical equipment repairs on and off site, troubleshooting electrical equipment problems, and developing & implementing maintenance strategies to ensure long term reliability and performance of the electrical equipment and infrastructure.

Maintenance Electrical Technology Lead Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Site Electrical equipment, electrical compliance audits, safety systems, switches, rectifiers, all electrical testing equipment, calibration, electrical technology, vendors, and repair shops.
  • Provide technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting, and feedback to the plant staff on electrical equipment problems, evaluation, repair, and/or upgraded needs.
  • Assist with detailed scope development for permanent and temporary repairs, upgrades, refurbishment, and fabrication of new and existing electrical equipment, providing most reliable and cost-effective electrical technology, materials lists/specification, engineering specification, vendors, estimating, hold points identification, and outside contractors needed.
  • Provide technical expertise to Plant Operations and Reliability and Maintenance engineers during rework work orders review, root cause investigations, condition-based monitoring results evaluation, and equipment maintenance strategies development.
  • Follow electrical equipment repairs and parts refurbishments in the field and/or outside shops, develops scopes, identifies, and performs hold points; ensure that the proper parts and procedures are being utilized and meet all Olin specification and standards; look for reliability upgrades, evaluates for improvement, and ensures that all equipment are being built back to the proper specification.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize electrical spare parts, schematic, procedures, electrical equipment records, preventive maintenance, and SAP equipment data.

Maintenance Electrical Technology Lead Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet one of the following experience or education requirements:
    • Associates degree* in Electrical Technology or related discipline; OR
    • NCCER Certification (Current or can obtain through testing) and documented completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
  • 5 + years of field hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial and/or chemical process environment.
  • Working knowledge of Heat Tracing Systems, all type of electrical test meters/equipment and SAP Plant maintenance, understanding of variable speed drive, U.P.S., battery systems, high voltage breakers and distribution systems, and to create and read electrical drawings, blueprint, junction box and loop sheets preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be detail oriented and able to influence others
  • Must be able to work from heights and within confined spaces.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
  • Must be available for call-ins, weekend call, plant turnarounds, and after hours at a short notice based on plant's needs.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
