Get to Know Your Team:

  • Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management, offering state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic tests, patient care and selects appropriate technical factors to insure proper diagnosis of patients
  • Operate imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures including C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, and portable x-ray unit
  • Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray and fluoroscopy
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images while maintaining ALARA standards
  • Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams
  • Cleans and maintains imaging equipment
  • Protects patients and personnel from radiation hazards
  • Maintains required records such as daily log books
  • Navigate the PACS system including review of images and uploading outside exams
  • Apply and maintain current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices
  • Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports issues to the radiology manager

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an accredited Radiology Program
  • ARRT (R) Registry
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • One year of X-Ray Tech experience
