The Sr Manager will work as part of a highly strategic team that supports DaVita Integrated Kidney Care's (IKC) inpatient dialysis and chronic kidney disease patients and overall operations, helping to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence for the IKC program nationwide. Responsibilities will include overseeing the financial modeling process for select areas within the Finance team, as well as supporting the team's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions and other strategic business initiatives. The Sr Manager will be based in DaVita's world headquarters in Denver, CO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Prepare detailed analyses of IKC financial results, variance to budget, tracking to forecast, etc. on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for IKC's general and administrative and consolidated financial results
  • Discuss results with senior level budget owners and recommend ways to optimize spending
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, including setting guidance, refining forecast models, and providing budget support to budget owners
  • Partner with the Accounting team and budget owners to monitor material changes in the business and lead the P&L adjustments to the affected reporting areas
  • Supervise and guide analysts and other stakeholders in supporting the IKC FP&A process

Data Analytics & Other Business Initiatives

  • Establish and maintain key reporting tools for assigned areas of responsibility. Tools include Anaplan, Essbase, Microsoft Teams, and other applications as needed
  • Support team's reporting & analytics capabilities, with a particular emphasis on building out reporting efficiencies
  • Provide detailed analyses of key operational data to measure the ongoing performance of the IKC business
  • Partner with IKC executives on strategy-related projects
  • Support teammates with ad hoc questions and analyses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, quantitative disciplines preferred
  • 4+ years in finance, consulting, or relevant business analytics role
  • Extensive experience with financial modeling and familiarity working with large, complex Excel files
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to properly digest complicated data sets or business scenarios to provide creative & efficient solutions
  • Team player able to work collaboratively within IKC Finance and alongside our stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills to share recommendations to team leaders and key stakeholders through verbal and written presentations
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase/SmartView, Anaplan, Microsoft SQL, and Tableau a plus
