Description
The Senior Manager for the Transaction Management unit will organize, manage and oversee the daily responsibilities associated with mortgage servicing transfers and ongoing management of contracts and contract relationships associated with prior mortgage servicing transfers. Daily oversight of all Transaction Management functions includes but is not limited to:
- Direct management of all mortgage acquisition transactions beginning with Due Diligence ending with a successful mortgage servicing acquisition.
- Coordinate and conduct routine meetings with Sellers through servicing transfers
- First line of escalation for due diligence, sale, and post-sale issues
- Manage Due Diligence & Sale timeline with external counterparty
- Direct supervision of Transaction Management direct reports
- Provide support to Senior Management, Analysts, and Corporate Technology on the design, development, and management of servicing transfer reporting, infrastructure, and workflow.
- Communicate details of upcoming servicing transfers with internal and external stakeholders including operations impact, strategic recommendations, and resolution of open issues.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationship with a key focus on conflict resolution, reputational harm, and regulatory impact.
- Situational guidance to business units on interpretation and contract application to loan-level scenarios during Due Diligence.
- Design and implement robust data driven processes to ensure that loan data is accurately onboarded to servicing with no downstream impacts.
- Lead and manage due diligence efforts through sale, ensuring compliance with regulatory, insurer, and contractual requirements.
- Analyze loan portfolios to assess risk and operational impact.
- Develop and execute checklists and procedures for evaluating servicing portfolios to assist with Due Diligence.
- Drive continuous improvement in the acquisition process through data analysis and process enhancements.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field. Prefer Masters in Business Administration or related field
- 3 years of General management, operations management, and/or business/operations analyst
- Experience with mortgage servicing is a plus
- Project Management certification a plus
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, goal driven environment with tight deadlines
