General Summary:

The IT Technician I provides technical assistance to end users by responding to support tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of user concerns. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of desktop operating systems and common business applications, along with the ability to research and evaluate third-party offerings.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Provides technical support for end users in person, over the phone, or via remote access tools;
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to workstations, applications, printers, phones, and network connectivity;
  • Monitors the ticketing system for incoming support requests and resolves or escalates issues as needed;
  • Assists with onboarding of new employees, including account setup, equipment provisioning, and orientation of basic IT functions;
  • Maintains an inventory of IT equipment and installed applications;
  • Coordinates with vendors for warranty repair of devices;
  • Travels to remote sites or office locations as required to support end users and perform hardware installations or maintenance;
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours support;
  • Performs other duties as required by the IT Support Supervisor.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Highly skilled in problem solving and resolution;
  • Skilled in oral and written communications;
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems and common business applications;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and various business contacts ;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments;
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail;
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand;
  • Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related degree preferred or at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Certifications:



  • CompTIA A+
  • Microsoft 365 related
