We're looking for a Direct Support Specialist to join our team!

At Mosaic, our core focus is helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live a full life. As a Direct Support Specialist, you'll play a lead role in serving people with intellectual and development disabilities.

Here's what you'll do as a Direct Support Specialist:



  • Monitor the comfort and safety of the people we serve while ensuring the medical, nutritional and personal care needs are being met
  • Provide training according to the written program plan for people served, covering all aspects of the person's life as assigned and in compliance with company policy and procedure.
  • Serve and emotionally support the people we serve in a therapeutic manner using techniques proven to reinforce appropriate individual behavior
  • Maintain detailed documentation of each person's medical, social, and program progress
  • Provide support and transportation to appropriate leisure time and community activities
  • Assist people served in the handling of money and finances
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks as schedule to maintain a neat and clean environment

Requirements

You should have:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in a related field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
