Senior Performance Engineer - Load Testing & System Optimization (Remote)

Location: Saint Louis, MO - Remote allowed

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Must have 10+ experience or more in Performance testing and engineering

Should be an individual contributor, lead and own responsibility and able to handle project E2E.

Should be good in NeoLoad / LoadRunner/JMeter (Scripting & execution), Dynatrace monitoring and root cause analysis. Preferable Web, Real browser & Citrix Protocols

Code profiling JProfiler, Visual Studio or subsequent internal tools based on the technology

Experience/Knowledge in Chaos Engineering & DR testing is preferrable

Knowledge in Healthcare Domain and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) technology

Load Testing Methodology in AWS

Roles and Responsibilities

Must have experience in Performance engineering such as Code Profiling, Database Query tuning / optimization and PODs scaling

Expertise in troubleshooting and identifying performance bottlenecks, analyzing the root causes, code level analysis and recommending corrective actions to tune the applications.

Expert in identifying performance bottlenecks at various layers like UI, App, DB, network, message queues etc.

Strong hands-on experience in various Application performance monitoring tools including AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk.

Having experience in healthcare domain having value-adds

Experience in performance tuning of microservices pods on Kubernetes platform.

Experience in handling cloud applications hosted in AWS.

Experience in running tests from CICD pipelines such as Jenkins/Gitlab

Create test scripts, test scenarios, implement load tests, endurance tests, scalability tests using NeoLoad/LoadRunner/JMeter

Implement load scenarios for specified work models and monitor system and application behavior to find potential bottlenecks.

Having development experience to create utilities/tools, enhancing existing frameworks preferred

Having experience in AI/ML/LLM are added advantages

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$83,250 - $132,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
