Description
The Department of Biology at Lipscomb University is seeking applicants for full-time, faculty position beginning August 1, 2025. The position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Human Anatomy & Physiology for our pre-nursing students. This course is a two-semester sequence involving lecture and laboratory sections for nursing majors. Normal full-time teaching load is 30 hours per 10-month, academic year. Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., MD, DO, or DPT) and teaching experience in human anatomy and physiology including cadaver dissection. Additional requirements include a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students in the context of a Christian environment. Strong mentoring skills as well as interpersonal skills in communication and the ability to work in a team-based education approach are required. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, and departmental, college and university service. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a Church of Christ affiliation and be an active, faithful member of a congregation. Candidates must be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university. Applications must include the following:
