The Sanitation Operator maintains the facility in hygienically clean, sanitary, and tidy condition on a shift basis in line with ASPIRE expectations.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Clean and maintain floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and other areas according to a designated schedule or as needed.





  • Collect and dispose of trash from office, staff, and production areas.





  • Remove and compact waste cardboard from the packing area.





  • Perform detailed cleaning of production line components during scheduled maintenance days.





  • Operate a floor washer for continuous floor maintenance.





  • Maintain cleaning equipment, including buckets, hoses, vacuums, and other tools, ensuring they remain in hygienic condition.





  • Assist in facility preparations for company visits and audits.





  • Contribute to maintaining and improving product quality, legality, and safety in all manufacturing processes.





  • Keep assigned work areas clean and organized, promptly reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a supervisor.





  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



  • This role requires attention to detail, adherence to cleanliness standards, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

Required




  • Mathematical Skills - Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measurement, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.





  • Reasoning Skills - Capable of understanding and following both written and verbal instructions.





  • Reading & Writing Skills - Able to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as compose simple written communications.





Preferred




  • High School Diploma or GED





  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish desirable.





  • Previous Experience in baking environment is beneficial, not essential.

  • Regular exposure to areas near moving mechanical parts.

  • Noise levels are generally moderate.





Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma /GED

  • Reading, writing and basic math skills required



  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing / light industrial



  • 5+ years of experience in Sanitation / Janitorial



  • Genie lift certification is required


  • Weekends and Holidays may be required.



Shift: 1st * 6am-2:30pm must work weekends*
