Welder

$18-$23/hourly

Schedule: 4 AM- 2:30 PM or 6 AM- 2:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
• Proven experience as a welder, demonstrated by successful completion of a Welder Qualification Test in accordance with AWS Standards
• Experience using GMAW and/or GTAW welding equipment
• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, weld symbols, and a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.)
• Completion of welding training at an accredited facility is a plus
• Ability to commute or relocate to Dublin, GA

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings; take measurements using calipers and/or tape measure to ensure accurate assembly
• Determine appropriate welding processes and equipment based on weld symbols and job requirements
• Align and secure components using fixtures and clamps
• Weld thin stainless and some carbon steel using GMAW or GTAW processes in various positions (flat, horizontal, overhead, or while being rotated)
• Inspect components before and after welding for defects and ensure quality prior to sending to the next operation
• Perform repairs using appropriate tools such as angle grinders
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment and report issues as necessary
• Track work time by clocking in and out of jobs per department procedures
