Overview The Senior Director, Data Center Construction oversees all aspects of construction projects related to data center development, expansion, and maintenance. This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple, large-scale construction initiatives simultaneously-from planning and budgeting through execution and final commissioning. The Director ensures that all projects meet quality, safety, timeline, and cost objectives, while aligning with company standards and client expectations. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams (design, engineering, operations, finance) and external partners (general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and local authorities). The ideal candidate has deep experience in mission-critical infrastructure, a strong understanding of MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems, and a proven track record of delivering high-complexity construction projects in the data center space. Responsibilities Project Leadership: Leads cross-functional teams, including construction managers, engineers, and contractors, to deliver data center projects. Project Planning and Management: Develops and implements project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Budget Management: Creates and manages project budgets, tracks expenses, and forecasts costs. Stakeholder Management: Communicates with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors. Risk Management: Identifies and manages project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize potential delays or cost overruns. Quality Assurance: Ensures that all construction work meets required quality standards and compliance regulations. Contractor Management: Manages and supervises general contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and timelines. Construction Operations: Oversees all aspects of the construction process, including site preparation, building, and commissioning. Data Center Infrastructure Expertise: Possesses a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seeks ways to improve construction processes and outcomes, incorporating new technologies and methodologies. Qualifications
10 years of experience in the data center construction market or similar critical facilities.
