How you'll make an impact:

Under the direction of channel producers and Senior Directors of Programming you'll produce and edit live, entertainment content, covering pop culture, news, and trending topics. A self-starter you'll work closely with senior members of the team and show talent to deliver a great audio product

What you'll do:

  • Run the audio board in studio for live and taped broadcasts
  • Bimonthly remote engineering responsibilities include managing the broadcast of a Live TV feed, commercial cueing, and log editing.
  • Screen listener phone calls during the show
  • Maintain the team's editorial calendar with relevant upcoming pop culture events and items.
  • Work with producers to provide comprehensive research, questions, and full show prep packet for hosts
  • Pitch show topics, guests, and caller segments based on host interests & the current events
  • Assist with providing on-the-fly research as required during the live show
  • Assist with host needs during live show; guest running, printing prep, etc.
  • Work with producers to post creative content on channel's social media accounts to promote shows.
  • Perform post-production duties including audio editing, posting the show on demand, and other pertinent duties
  • Work closely with producers, PR, and digital teams to identify compelling moments and clips to create audiograms and video clips
  • Identify, edit, and load sounders and audio clips for use in-show
  • Assist with show production elements and promos, providing necessary audio clips
  • Edit and load best of shows and specials
  • Under the guidance of channel Directors, work with the company's support teams (sales, traffic, PR, marketing, talent, events, promotions, digital and others) as required

What you'll need:

  • Must be a recent graduate from of an accredited HBCU (Within the last 2 years, or expected to graduate by June 2025)
  • Experience in radio, podcast, or audio production preferred, including internships and college radio
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work under pressure with high profile talent
  • Strong interest and knowledge of current events and pop culture
  • Audio editing experience (ex. Adobe Audition)
  • Impeccable attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Be a great communicator
  • Ability to run a live studio board a plus
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $44,900 -$53,300 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
