Mechanical Assembler

Position Details:
- Shifts:
- 1stShift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00am - 3:00pm
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm
- 2ndShift: Monday - Thursday; 3:00pm - 1:00am
- Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday; 5:00am - 5:00pm
- Pay Range: Up to $27.00/hour (basedupon experience, skill set, and shift)
- Shift Premium:
- 2nd Shift = $2.00/hour
- WeekendShift = 15% of Base Wage + $2.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble various parts and components into finished products based on blueprints, technical drawings, or instructions.
- Inspect and test parts and assemblies to ensure they meet specified quality standards and function properly.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and automated machinery to complete the assembly process efficiently and safely.
- Ensure that all materials, components, and tools required for assembly are available and organized.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery used in the assembly process to ensure proper function.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production, assembly processes, and inventory levels.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to assembly, machinery, or parts and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of assembly tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience and/or Training:
- Minimum 6-month experience and/or training in mechanical assembly.
- Adequate mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or Training:
- Experience with heavy duty mount claps, tork, and rubber grommet.
- Experience in using crane to move large heavy parts.
- Experience using ergonomic equipment properly such as hoists.
- Experience using a hydraulic unit.
Physical and Mental Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move between work areas.
- Regularly required to talk and listen, as well as climb, balance, and reach above shoulder level.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where loud noise exposure is regular and frequent.
