About the role:

Magellan is the largest technology and business transformation program Boston Scientific has undertaken in two decades. This global initiative is transitioning our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA, aiming to simplify, standardize, and modernize our core business processes. By doing so, we are positioning ourselves for future growth and leveraging the power of data across the organization.

We are seeking an experienced IT SAP Architect with expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, particularly in product costing, material ledger, and parallel valuation. This role plays a critical part in optimizing our SAP landscape to support business strategies and financial operations.

Work Mode:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Design and implement SAP solutions that support finance and controlling processes, with a focus on product costing, material ledger, and parallel valuation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the SAP architecture for FI/CO, product costing, material ledger, and parallel valuation, ensuring integration with other business processes and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring successful delivery of SAP projects related to FI/CO, product costing, material ledger, and parallel valuation.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the SAP architecture to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the SAP FI/CO area to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP architecture and finance processes.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working with SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing SAP FI/CO solutions, particularly in product costing, material ledger, and parallel valuation.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its product costing components.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge finance/business functions and SAP technical roles.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms, including their costing modules.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost management.
  • Familiarity with data integration and data modeling techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Previous experience at Boston Scientific is a plus.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
