Position Summary:
The Lab Manager will be part
of an dynamic and interdisciplinary team at the intersection of bioengineering,
microbiology, human health, chemistry, and material sciences.

This is a unique opportunity to support and manage
cutting-edge research across two prestigious institutions-NJIT and Stanford
University-working on projects that address critical challenges in healthcare
and infectious diseases.

The position is planned to start in June 2025. In agreement with NJIT, this appointment
will be initially for six months and continuation during that time period and
renewal are based on the satisfactory performance, availability of funding, and the terms of the Policy for Research Associates at the NJIT; https://research.njit.edu/research-policies.

Essential Functions:
-Oversees daily lab operations, safety compliance, and inventory management.
-Supports research activities, including experimental setup and data collection.
-Coordinates collaborative projects and facilitate communication between NJIT and Stanford labs.
-Maintains lab equipment and ensure smooth functioning of technical resources.
-Assists with grant preparation, purchasing, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
-Mentors and supervises undergraduate and graduate students.
-Contributes to a collaborative and intellectually vibrant lab culture.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, Material Sciences, Biophysics, or a related field.
-Prior experience in a research lab environment, preferably in a managerial or coordinating position.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Willingness to travel and work between NJIT and Stanford University as needed.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
