Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: As an Assembly Specialist First Level Manager, you'll play a key leadership role on the shop floor, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of assembly operations. You'll: Lead teams in assembling sub-assemblies and structural units using both metallic and nonmetallic materials, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Oversee mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system installations, utilizing a range of fasteners and bonding methods. Ensure product integrity through rigorous testing using mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external customers to meet specifications, drive continuous improvement, and maintain operational excellence. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with multiple departments (Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.) High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred Demonstrated ability to lead projects on time and within budget, with strong knowledge of project management, cost tracking, and NPI processes Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, with experience navigating enterprise systems Experienced in union environments, including managing collective bargaining agreements, and flexible to work any shift or alternative schedule as needed Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
