The Opportunity

Are you a strategic talent acquisition leader who is committed to enhancing the user experience and passionate about the role of TA in contributing to the success of an organization?

We're an international insurer, with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries and head office in Sydney, Australia. This is an opportunity to lead a team of 10 in-house recruiters, own the end-to-end recruitment function in North America, and influence hiring strategies from graduate to executive level.

Your new role

As our Talent Acquisition leader in North America, you will guide the design, performance, and delivery of all recruitment activity across the region. You'll foster a proactive, high-performing TA team while acting as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. Reporting to the North American People team and working closely with the Group Head of Talent Acquisition based in Australia, you'll be part of a collaborative, enterprise-wide TA community spanning four key global regions.

  • Lead, coach and empower the USA-based Talent Acquisition team to deliver consistent, high-quality, forward-looking hiring outcomes.

  • Drive a proactive approach to talent-embedding workforce planning, pipelining, and data-led decision-making.

  • Partner with business leaders and People colleagues to align recruitment strategies with long-term talent and business priorities.

  • Enhance candidate and hiring manager experience while maintaining operational excellence and consistency.

  • Collaborate with global peers, contributing to the enterprise TA strategy and leverage global systems, tools, and best practices to ensure alignment across the enterprise.

  • Shape and elevate our employer brand in the North American market.

  • Analyze recruitment performance metrics, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement to deliver quality and consistency of delivery.

About you
  • Proven experience leading an advisory recruitment team or function, ideally across varied levels from early career to executive.

  • A strong track record of building team capability, driving performance, and delivering commercial impact through talent acquisition.

  • Experience in corporate or matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Advanced knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, including sourcing, selection, employer branding and inclusive recruitment.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; you know how to bring people on the journey.

  • A strategic mindset combined with operational know-how-able to balance day-to-day delivery with long-term goals.

If you're passionate about building high-performing teams, driving strategic talent outcomes, and making a real impact-we'd love to hear from you.
