We are currently accepting applications for a Warehouse Technician in our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton, WI, conveniently located north of Janesville. This is a day shift position, working 4:55 am - 5:25 pm, 3-4 days per week (week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday). Because you're only working 3-4 days per week, you have more full days off for hobbies and time with friends and family. Also, there is 8-hours of built-in overtime during your 4-day workweek. Last, if you want to volunteer for an extra workday and its available, it is paid at double-time.

JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Technician is responsible for processing inbound and outbound orders, staging ingredients and finished goods for production, performing inventory management practices, and verifying and recording material handling transactions. Provide support with inbound/outbound appointment management and other administrative tasks to support aspects of a distribution operation. Theses tasks should be done while following all safety and quality procedures and proficiently operating all material handling equipment. The Warehouse Technician must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, team attitude. Backs up the Transload operation as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare UPS, FedEx, etc. shipping orders for shipment.
  • Move ingredients/finished materials, using the electronic inventory management system, to achieve proper first expired-first out (FEFO) / product rotation procedures.
  • Spot, load, and unload inbound/outbound trailers and tankers, completing the necessary inspection forms and HACCP requirements.
  • Spot, load, and unload sugar trailers, completing the necessary inspection forms and requirements.
  • Receive, inspect, sample, tag, and route all incoming materials. Pick, pack, load, and prepare orders for shipping.
  • Complete paperwork and log information accurately (Bill of Ladings (BOL's), inbound/outbound orders, ProForma's, etc.).
  • Assist with Transload operation as needed, including unloading sugar and oil rail cars and monitoring steaming/melting activities. Additional training is required for these tasks.
  • Interact with truck drivers, customers, and other CQC departments.
  • Answer phone calls and direct drivers around the campus for loading and unloading.
  • Perform cleaning and MSS activities.
  • Stage and put away ingredients for mixing as required. Must stage at least 24 hours in advance or further depending on production needs.
  • Put away finished goods as required.
  • Assist with cycle counts, mid-year and year-end inventory, and complete investigations as needed.
  • Support Associate, Lead and Supervisor with facilitating communication/coordination between internal customer groups and external carrier contacts to ensure attainment of service level objectives. Focusing efforts on timely pick-up/delivery and overall stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Cover for other employees while on break/lunch.
  • Operate forklift, Spotter Truck and other material handling equipment. Be able to drive personal vehicle for work. Designated employees may be approved to operate the CQC van and therefore must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work and work overtime as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial warehouse experience required, which includes forklift operation, Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience, and shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Microsoft D365, Plant Control Systems, and Label Management would be helpful
  • Previous experience with driving a Forklift, spotter truck or yard dog would be helpful.
