Responsibilities

As a Social Worker/Therapist at PrairieCare, you will enjoy the best of both worlds! This unique role allows you to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychosocial services for our young patients while also expanding your therapeutic skills by taking on cases as a therapist. You will play a crucial role in supporting children and adolescents on their journey to mental wellness, making a lasting impact on their lives and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct effective psychosocial assessments and suicide risk assessments to identify the needs of our patients and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Engagement with Families: Communicate openly with patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in treatment plan decisions and feel supported throughout the process.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with outpatient providers to coordinate care during admission and discharge, ensuring a seamless transition for our patients.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Contribute your clinical perspective to the interdisciplinary team, drawing on your unique training in family systems and social work theory to enhance patient care.
  • Therapeutic Facilitation: As a therapist, lead engaging group, individual, and family therapy sessions that foster healing and personal growth.
  • Team Support: Provide coverage for fellow social workers and therapists when needed, demonstrating your commitment to teamwork and patient care.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clinical team members and Directors to ensure cohesive and coordinated care for our patients.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work and licensed in the State of Minnesota. or Licensed as a: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Psychologist (LP).
  • Two years previous mental health experience strongly preferred. Experience in intensive psychiatric healthcare settings preferred
  • Experience using electronic health records preferred
  • Cultural responsiveness and bilingual language skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word.
  • Able to effectively and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form
  • Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Compensation for this role ranges from $30-45 per hour depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions.
