SUMMARY

Implement, upgrade, document, and support assigned software applications and assist with further development of applications. This position is responsible for serving as the primary contact between the vendor and IT Operations staff and will work with management, project teams, and system engineers to regularly resolve outstanding issues and complete routine to complex tasks and project deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

  • Research, test, and assist in deployment of upgrades and releases while adhering to documented change management process and procedures.
  • Provide tier-three assistance to issues escalated from First Support on assigned applications. Assist IT System Administrator I team members with escalated issues and work with Infrastructure and Network Engineers in software problem resolution.
  • Understand how supported applications interact with the underlying technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, VMware, and Networking Technologies, and protocols.
  • Utilize PowerShell and scripting tools to automate processes, build reporting, and troubleshoot installed software applications
  • Provide subject matter expertise to assist in the development and delivery of training for Eend Uusers.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including desktop procedures, Eend Uuser procedures, system diagrams, disaster recovery plans, user access audits, and test plans.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for assigned applications.
  • Understand business requirements of assigned applications. Convert business requirements into system requirements and communicate the need to the vendor. Assist IT System Administrator I team members with the process of converting business requirements into system requirements as needed.
  • Understand and interpret performance measures, goals, and objectives for the software.
  • Gather, interpret, and report system performance issues to vendor, business unit(s), and management.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend system changes, configuration, and enhancements based on business requirements of assigned applications.
  • Lead meetings and deliver presentations to small and large groups.
  • Lead project work efforts and/or independently support project work.
  • Serve as primary and/or backup system administrator for other applications as assigned.
  • May be required to work after hours and weekends to accomplish work tasks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and five plus (5+) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry certifications may be considered in place of a College degree. Certifications could be: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), MCSE, CCNA
  • Technical familiaritywithcoreinfrastructurearchitecturesandtoolsincludingActiveDirectory, Windows Server/OS, PowerShell and scripting tools, Middleware, Database, Networking Technologies and Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS,WINS, HTTP) and Application topologies
  • Experience with SolarWinds or other enterprise network monitoring applications are required.
  • Experiencewithbankapplicationsandsoftwareadministrationexperiencepreferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers. and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, and talk, and listen or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
