The ideal candidate for the premium services team supervises and provides technical and operational direction to the premium services team. The team that you would be working with provide billing and payment support to customers, underwriters, sales teams, agencies, outside collection agencies, claims, attorneys, and other Commercial Lines departments across multiple product lines.
What You'll Do As a Premium Services Supervisor, you will:
- Establishe and monitor departmental goals and policies that complement overall company goals and initiatives. Ensure that exceptional quality and service standards are attained in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Oversee the development of staff and implementation of appropriate training and cross-training programs.
- Administer human resource-related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and ensures all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices. Selects, develops, motivates, and recognizes staff.
- Supervise the direct entry of payments into the accounting system, verifying all money is applied daily and accurately by viewing reports and spot audit check points.
- Coordinate team meetings and one-on-ones top promote communication and transparency. Informs associates of new procedures or changes to existing procedures. Recommend workflow procedures that facilitate more efficient daily operations.
- Vigilantly monitor the delinquent premium that is reported on 90-day reports, collaborates with associates, and provides input or direction for collecting this debt. Provides spreadsheets and monthly reports to management. Provide direction to staff overseeing accounts in collection status weighing the best cost-effective decision before assuming collection agency commission charges. Responsible for the review and write-off of premium for business accounts with uncollectible premium.
- Collaborate with Information Technology to prioritize, test, and implement systems enhancements and upgrades. Serve as a subject matter expert relative to system needs. Perform analysis and make recommendations that will benefit the efficiency of business systems.
- Monitor quality through a monthly and quarterly quality audit process and measures service and productivity through various reports and other methods.
- Provide technical expertise in handling sensitive or unusual customer service issues or complaints. May work with various internal departments, management, or state insurance departments and examiners in resolution of issues.
- Review, analyze, and resolve Consumer Affairs and/or insurance department complaints and exception requests. May respond directly to customer and insurance departments.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement cross training programs.
- Review state disaster situations and places delinquency holds on the counties or states affected. Verify with product management on any discrepancies and vague statements in the state bulletins to ensure we are in full compliance with the state requirements.
- Maintain and updates the area's business continuity plans and internal control projects.
- Review bulletins and notifications for information pertinent to the associates. Share relevant information with team members to ensure consistency and compliant processes.
What it Takes
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Sentry Organization and distribution systems
- Ability to motivate and develop direct-reporting staff to provide efficient and cost-effective services
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in assigned processing/service areas
