The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Librarian. The selected candidate will work with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, Altium and/or Xpedition to create and maintain component library database schematic symbols and component land patterns per IPC and SDL's standards. This position will require full-time presence onsite at our headquarters in North Logan, UT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages Component Part Library which may include multiple libraries
- Creates custom parts from engineering drawings
- Processes Electronic Entity Request (EERA) including interpreting electrical/ mechanical drawings to create parts, both common and complex, to SDL standards
- Assures symbols and footprints comply with IPC and space grade PCB design and fabrication standards
- Assists with assembly drawings
- Assists the PCB Design team in ordering, tracking delivery, and failures of PCB builds
Required Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Must work well independently with minimal supervision and in a team
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a US citizen, permanent resident of the US, or other US person
- Must be able to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of electronic components and their basic functions
- Experience with EDA software tools
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and data sheets
*Salary Range
- $33,000-$70,000
- Salary commensurate based on education and experience
