ATI Corporate is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Enterprise Business Services team. This role is based at our Dallas, TX office and offers a hybrid work arrangement in office up to 3 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing, world-class manufacturing company with multiple manufacturing operations. Primary Responsibilities The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of payrolls, payroll taxes, payroll deductions and other payroll related functions.
- Administers all aspects of payroll preparation, payment calculation, payroll deductions and associated reports (this will include processing union payrolls).
- Conducts required payroll review, internal audits, and balancing functions for government regulation and SOX compliance purposes.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a timely manner. Review all potential shortages and overpayments. Calculate and process manual payrolls checks and /or future payment adjustments when necessary.
- Maintains accurate and complete records, files, and reports relating to all payroll matters. Examples include tax withholding forms, work hours and earnings records, timekeeping and balancing within UKG Kronos application, and direct deposit forms. Coordinate with other teams to communicate and receive subject information.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams involving shared services initiatives.
- Use ADP as the primary HR/Payroll system to process and issue employee paychecks.
- Partner with HRIS and Benefits teams to handle employee information such as new hires, transfers, terminations.
- Provide ad hoc reporting for various departments including HR, Benefits, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field.
- At least 2 years working experience (payroll experience with Federal, state and local payroll laws preferred).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with ADP Enterprise payroll preferred.
- Experience with UKG (Kronos) time and attendance preferred.
- Experience with union payrolls preferred.
- Ability to successfully handle numerous priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Great attention to detail with a high focus on accuracy of results.
- Strong problem-solving skills with system, employee, and vendor issues.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, analyzes, and identifies opportunities for improvement.
