Facilitate and support discussions surrounding technical issues Conduct and assess engineering evaluations for pipeline crossing requests. Support of Engineering Services initiatives aligned with LP strategic initiatives Support more senior team members within the department Identify opportunities for innovative technologies and contribute to assessments of new technologies Help to identify systemic issues and support their remediation Provide technical feedback to the MOC process to ensure safety and reliability of assets Provide interpretations and ensure compliance with Enbridge standards and regulatory requirements Support content ownership of Enbridge engineering standards Support Asset Class Management during Long Range Planning cycle through business case development/support Work under the guidance and overview of a more senior engineer within Operations Engineering Continual focus on identifying and implementing cost competitive solutions Embrace Enbridge values of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion, and high performance Perform and support technical studies and analysis
Operations:
Collaborate with regional personnel to provide engineering expertise and services to support operations Support failure analyses, incident investigations, and troubleshooting
Projects:
Support Projects technical design reviews and project process reviews Provide engineering expertise and participate in designs for project managers on capital projects or programs within the regions supported Support engineering design (piping) for small regional projects
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college Registration as a professional engineer or the ability to obtain PE (US) or PEng (CAN) designation within one year after hire A minimum of four years of industry-related experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry Good communication skills - both written and verbal to internal and external audiences.
Preferred
Knowledgeable with regulatory and industry codes/standards for the oil and gas industry in the US and Canada. Legally able to travel within Canada and United States. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e. Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite.
Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Physical fitness and able to work at heights (climbing wind turbine) and ability to successfully pass working at heights training and certification and wear full fall arrest harness and related equipment Mental Requirements include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
