Project Manager

Job Summary

The Project Manager is a key leadership role in managing high-value heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects. This position requires a strong grasp of project leadership, strategic planning, client relations, and performance monitoring. The role involves significant use of project management and design software.



  • Lead all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client requirements.
  • Utilize Oracle P6 Scheduling Software for intricate project scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver presentations and reports using Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive) to convey project information clearly and persuasively.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of detailed project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Use Microsoft Power BI for advanced data analysis, reporting, and decision-making insights.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with clients, subcontractors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are met and managed effectively, addressing any concerns proactively.
  • Lead budgeting and financial management of the project, using Excel and Viewpoint Vista ERP System.
  • Implement cost-control measures and financial optimization strategies without compromising project quality.
  • Ensure the project adheres to all quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Use Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation for design verification, compliance checks, and quality assurance.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, employing critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to address complex challenges.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management plans and strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage professional growth and skill development within the team.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or certifications in project management.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management within heavy-highway or heavy-civil construction sectors.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI), Oracle P6 Scheduling Software, and Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.


Physical Demands



  • Ability to navigate and oversee work in various construction site environments.
  • Availability to travel to various project locations as needed.
