Intern - Manufacturing Engineer

The Intern is responsible for applying engineering principles through planning and development of tools, methods, processes, facility and equipment that maximize quality of the final product in the most effective, efficient, and economic way possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis for a project to update routings with machine times, and to modify current labor and set-up times as deemed necessary.
• Data collection and analysis and assist with a project to add machine times to all routings.

• Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork and collaboration and develop high quality working relationships to influence, gain support, and achieve results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively deliver and transfer knowledge of technical concepts.
• Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Majors Requested

• Enrolled in a University or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include ME, MET, IE, IET ME, MET, IE, IET

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

Potential physical demands include, but are not limited to frequent walking and standing, occasional twisting, stooping, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling, climbing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to hearing and seeing.

The majority of time is spent in a manufacturing production environment with some (but not all) climate-controlled areas. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed.
