Responsibilities

We are seeking a mechanical CAD designer to join our team. This person's primary responsibility will be to help create and maintain 3D AutoCAD models, prepare, check, and review working plans, detail drawings, and specifications for layout, construction, and operation in the LNG industry.

Job and Software Requirements

  • AutoCAD (Plant 3D a plus)
  • Navisworks
  • Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/OneNote
  • Strong written and verbal communication and team skills
  • Experience in process piping or mechanical layouts a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 3D piping and equipment models
  • Develop and maintain construction and fabrication drawings for plant piping systems that include large and small-bore piping, structures, equipment location, and P&ID drawings
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline environment: coordinate mechanical and piping layouts with Civil, Structural, and Electrical disciplines
  • Interpret engineering sketches, vendor drawings, and specifications to create accurate and comprehensive design layouts
  • Conduct field visits as necessary to gather measurements and verify existing conditions
  • Support fabrication and installation teams by providing isometric/weld map piping drawings, and support shop-fabrication of equipment skids and field (yard) piping
  • Occasional project site visits to participate in plant walkdowns to support both designing of systems and as-built documentation.


Qualifications

  • AS or BS in a related field
  • Two+ years of experience and/or training in related field
