Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Coordinator - Clinical.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing strategic sourcing services on Clinical Product spend to NYU Langone Health. This position can be assigned to support any of the following clinical areas: Perioperative, Orthopedic, Percutaneous, Research, Non-Procedural, Capital Equipment, or Med Surg. Sourcing Coordinator will assist departments with contract cycle management. Sourcing Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams, including but not limited to Data Management, Purchasing, Clinical Supply Chain, Project Management, and Value Analysis (VA). Sourcing Coordinator works under general direction from the Sourcing Managers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Excellence Maintains expiring contracts report and system price parity. Provides contract support for existing and new suppliers, product add (PSR), and match exceptions.
- Supplier Selection and Contracting - Conducts basic pricing reviews and negotiations with suppliers. Must be able to analyze basic contracts, such as terms and conditions as it relates to products and services.
- Analyzation Skills - Must possess fundamental skills to interpret and analyze data both financially and qualitatively in order to present and interpret outcomes. Must be able to explain and convey data to the Sourcing Managers and end users. Must be able to identify sourcing opportunities from data.
- Relationship Management - Acts as customer service support liaison. Obtains requestor/end-user feedback to ensure alignment/expectations are consistent with their departmental goals. Assists departments implement sourcing changes, especially if moving to a new supplier and for more significant spends and services.
- Cost Savings Will help identifying strategic sourcing savings opportunities.
- Business Process Optimization Seeks ways to improve business processes within (but not limited to) Supply Chain Department
- Market Evaluations - Gathers and interprets market and competitive intelligence through formal and informal processes.
- Assesses Needs and Initiate Sourcing Projects Supports Sourcing Managers in ongoing projects.
- Works with requestor/end-user to remain abreast of evolving needs and keep requestor/end-user aware of evolving market capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Some knowledge of procurement/sourcing process
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc).

Bachelor's degree
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree is required. 0-1+ years experience in Purchasing/Procurement roles or similar functions. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn and become proficient in ERP system. Ability to interface with external and internal customers, including all levels of management, through effective oral and written communication and great interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with a team. Prioritization, organization, time management, and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience a plus but not necessary.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $35.36 - $85,407.34 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
