Summary
The Learning Design Coordinator will work closely with the Learning Design Manager, other members of the Strategic Development Initiatives team, Learning & Development (L&D) team members across the firm, and other business professionals to support the development of training programs and professional-development initiatives that support the firm's business needs and strategic initiatives. The Coordinator is an integral part of a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive team and contributes to a wide array of team projects and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Learning Design Manager and other colleagues on the L&D team to assess learning and professional development needs for business professionals across the US and help design and develop learning solutions to address identified gaps.
- Apply best practices in adult learning and instructional design methodologies to help develop synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions including SCORM-compliant eLearning programs, facilitator-led sessions, blended learning solutions, knowledge checks, simulations, and assessments.
- Create evaluations to measure key data points; solicit and analyze feedback and program data; prepare summary reports and recommend adjustments.
- Coordinate learning design projects, including helping with project schedules, deliverables (objectives, storyboards, etc.), and communication plans.
- Build and maintain expertise with relevant content-development tools, professional-development trends and resources, and graphic-design principles and tools.
- Regularly review existing offerings and materials to identify and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with L&D colleagues to ensure the effective planning, design, development, and seamless delivery of learning programs and initiatives.
- Update and maintain program source files related to training programs.
- Track trends and research best practices and innovations within the Learning & Development field.
- Work independently and within a team on ongoing and special non-recurring projects.
- Schedule and attend planning meetings among team members, participate in team meetings, and communicate continuously.
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range
$70,000 - $77,000 if located in lllinois
Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with a Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with multiple stakeholders reviewing and editing work product
Preferred:
- Large law firm experience
- A minimum of one year of experience in eLearning development, including experience with Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, or similar authoring tools
- Experience with multimedia learning elements, including the ability to create and edit scripts, record and edit audio and video files, and create and edit graphics
- Project management and/or program design experience
