Description

The Cambria New Haven is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to maximize and expand client relationships. The Sales Manager will be focused on selling, growing the business and managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and revenue goals. This will include but not limited to conducting site visits, performing outside calls, attending trade shows, communicating and coordinating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and developing relationships with clients. Other duties include preparing reports, develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients and maintain knowledge of hotel, market, and brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Brings a strategic approach to growing our business and thrives on the pursuit of client attraction while creating memorable meeting and event experiences.
  • Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
  • Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
  • Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Minimum two years of Hotel Sales Manager experience is required.
  • Local market knowledge is highly preferred.
