Position Description Summary: |
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (
MFA), an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University (
GWU) and the George Washington Cancer Center (
GWCC), is seeking a
neurologist or oncologist for a non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine and to lead the GWCC's Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Program. Additional responsibilities include providing excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and developing an active research program. The appointment, expected to commence as early as Fall 2025, will be at the rank of associate or full professor, and a competitive start-up package will be provided to support the successful candidate's research program. Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $200,000 to $400,000. |

Providing excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and developing an active research program. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in neurology or medical oncology, fellowship-trained in neuro-oncology, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment. Applicants must also demonstrate excellence in both clinical care and clinical research. Clinical experience, strong communication skills, a desire for collaboration, and a commitment to quality are necessary. |

The GW Cancer Center was established in 2015 to consolidate the resources of the University, the
MFA, and the GW University Hospital, thereby expanding current research efforts in the fight against cancer and positioning our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area. The
GWCC is partnering with the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine to enhance basic/translational and clinical research efforts in neuro-oncology with a goal to develop breakthrough innovations in neurological cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. |
