Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Receptionist. Reporting to the Administrative Support Manager, this position supports working under general supervision and is responsible for responding to requests for general Firm information.

This position will reside in our Washington office and will be onsite five (5) days per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answers and directs all incoming calls (internal and external), by operating a multiple line switchboard

  • Ascertains appropriate resources when caller's contact person is unavailable

  • Provides assistance when caller has limited information

  • Greets visitors, maintain visitor's log, and assists clients

  • Ensures reception area is well maintained and has a professional appearance

  • Reports general maintenance issues to the appropriate office or building services personnel

  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of current Firm procedures regarding documents served by the Courts and handles appropriately

  • Provides a variety of administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Reserves visitor offices and conference rooms

  • Works directly with firm IT and multimedia teams, internal catering department, internal and external clients

Experience and qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or equivalency, minimum of five (5) years of work experience

  • At least one (1) year of receptionist experience

  • Strong commitment to excellent client service

  • Strong understanding and experience with Outlook and Microsoft Word

  • Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands

  • Strong planning/organizational skills

  • Able to resolve and/or escalate issues

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Team Player

  • Flexibility to work overtime is required.
