Job Description Summary

The Associate Athletic Director for Fan Experience, Game Presentation, & Campus Partnership will direct in-game productions for assigned Wake Forest Athletic sports, notably serving as the primary game director for football. Responsibilities include video board and public address game script production, student engagement initiatives, fan experience strategies, and single-game promotional plans. The position also liaises with corporate partners, concessions, and university departments to enhance the fan experience at home and select away/postseason events and supervises Fan Experience staff.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Manage all game script production and direct all in-game production for assigned sports (serve as primary game director for football).
  • Partner with Campus Life and other key university units to plan all student attendance and experience initiatives including student fan zone tailgates, student promotions, basketball lottery system, Wake the Demons pep rally, etc.
  • Plan and execute all on-site fan activations (i.e. fan zones, tailgates, etc.).
  • Develop, in partnership with sales staff, single game promotional plans including game themes, giveaways, ticket promotions, etc.
  • Liaison to Wake Forest Sports Properties for corporate partner engagement activities including sponsored in-game elements and fan activations, giveaways, etc.
  • Liaison to Proof of the Pudding for planning and execution of fan concessions promotions.
  • Supervise Fan Experience staff and direct activities including on-campus promotional activations.
  • Partner with Deacon Club and University Advancement, Admissions, OPCD, Parent's Council, SPS, etc. on activation planning and coordination for key road, neutral and postseason fan engagement opportunities including pre-game pep rallies and fan gathering events, on-site branding, etc.
  • Serve as primary liaison to Spirit of the Old Gold and Black bands.
  • Coordinate Spirit Squads (Cheer, Dance, Mascots) engagement in event and fan promotions.

Other Functions:

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of full-time experience in college athletics or professional sports marketing, promotions and/or game presentation production

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Power 4 experience
