Job Description

Senior Director, Global Security and Safety (GSS) - Executive Protectionis responsible for physical security and risk identification and mitigation for Visa. Reporting to the GSS SVP, the candidate will coordinate executive protection efforts as outlined in Visa's Executive Protection strategy, and work closely with regional teams for planning and execution.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide close protection of executive members including developing, assessing, and implementing protection strategies and plans. Develop new SOP's and standards and procedures for the EP Program.
  • Conduct executive protection pre-advance work of upcoming meetings and travel venues, conduct risk assessment and determine appropriate deployment of resources.
  • Direct and lead Visa staff responsible for executive protection
  • Develop continuous training for EP Team members.
  • Oversea the TSCM (Technological Surveillance Counter Measure) program.
  • Brief Executive Committee members on geopolitical developments, incidents and trends that could affect Visa.
  • Receipt of guests visiting executive floor, oversee security for high-profile visitors including coordination of resources, meetings, and transportation etc.
  • Work with CEO EA regarding CEO schedule as well as other EA of President and CFO.
  • Traveling nationwide and internationally, as necessary
  • Frequent overnight travel
  • Be able to obtain HR 218
  • Be able to qualify and obtain ASO (Armed Safety Officer) certification for flights into DCA.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred qualifications:

* 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience

* Must maintain up-to-date driver's license.

* Ability to interact with senior management.

* Be a poised leader and team player who gains support from all levels of the organization, including senior executives.

* Excellent follow-up skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task, have leadership presence, strong team-orientation and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and strong analytical skills.

* Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi-location team structure.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 200,000.00 to 290,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
