School of Dentistry Job Description
The UMKC School of Dentistry is looking for a customer-service minded professional with exceptional computer skills and demonstrated creativity to join their team as a Senior Technical Office Support Assistant. This individual must have excellent communication and time management skills, be able to provide technical and administrative support to faculty and students, provide a variety of end user training and support, as well as a written and electronic communications, reports, website and social media content creation and maintenance, and assist with creative and visual design. These functions include a broad array of tasks including set up, group and one-on-one user training, end user software support, including ExamSoft online assessment software, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe software and Canvas. Specific duties include but are not limited to: * Administer online testing using ExamSoft * Administer and maintain selected online tools and resources * Provide end user assistance with Microsoft Office and Adobe software * Respond to inquiries and work with technical support to solve computer and technology problems * Research and compile correspondence, remarks, presentations and comprehensive reports * Create and update the school's website content * Create social media content for the school's Instagram and Facebook pages * Create and update content for the school's Digital Signage System * Assist with events as needed, including but not limited to the Midwest Dental Conference and New Student Welcome and Orientation events * Coordinate with print vendors * Order and maintain adequate stock of departmental supplies and equipment * Other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize, have proficient computer use and software skills; excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; remain flexible with unanticipated projects/assignments; and manage confidential information with discretion. Experience with on-line testing and learning management systems web and social media, graphic design and demonstrated creativity a plus. Anticipated Hiring Range
Up to $23.75 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), benefit-eligible, staff position. Application Deadline
