This Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Providing care coordination in partnership with physicians as an integral member of the Perioperative Services Team.
  • Performing histories and physical examinations on infants, children and adults with simple to complex clinical and care coordination needs.
  • Synthesizing clinical data.
  • Communicating critical information to interdisciplinary care team.
  • Providing pre-operative education to patient and families.
  • Diagnosing and prescribing for common illnesses affecting procedural readiness. Working collaboratively with primary care physicians/specialist when necessary, to medically optimize for anesthesia/surgery.
  • Provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing and MA Advanced Practice Nurse License or MA PA License.
  • 3 years of PNP/FNP or PA experience in acute care, inpatient Medical-Surgical care or Primary Care preferred.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • BLS and PALS.
  • Proficiency in navigating the patient medical record in its entirety
  • Schedule: 8-hr day shifts, Mon-Friday.
