This Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for: Providing care coordination in partnership with physicians as an integral member of the Perioperative Services Team. Performing histories and physical examinations on infants, children and adults with simple to complex clinical and care coordination needs. Synthesizing clinical data. Communicating critical information to interdisciplinary care team. Providing pre-operative education to patient and families. Diagnosing and prescribing for common illnesses affecting procedural readiness. Working collaboratively with primary care physicians/specialist when necessary, to medically optimize for anesthesia/surgery. Provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care. To qualify, you must have: A Master's Degree in Nursing and MA Advanced Practice Nurse License or MA PA License. 3 years of PNP/FNP or PA experience in acute care, inpatient Medical-Surgical care or Primary Care preferred. Pediatric experience preferred. BLS and PALS. Proficiency in navigating the patient medical record in its entirety Schedule: 8-hr day shifts, Mon-Friday. bchAPP Boston Children's Hospital requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and Flu, (unless you are eligible for a medical or religious exemption).
