We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide direct Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support to PMA-205. The candidate will be responsible for applying MBSE principles, tools, and practices to improve systems design, integration, and lifecycle management for Naval Aviation training systems.


Duties:

  • Support development and maintenance of SysML models for training systems across the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Assist in requirements analysis, architecture development, and verification/validation planning using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody).
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into functional and physical architectures.
  • Facilitate model reviews, provide technical inputs during design decisions, and support configuration control of MBSE artifacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IPTs, including software, hardware, and human systems integration teams.
  • Ensure alignment with DoD acquisition processes, NAVSEA/NAWCAD engineering policies, and PMA-205 priorities.
  • Generate technical documentation, briefings, and analysis reports to support decision-making.


Required Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience performing duties described in the functional description, three (3) of which must be directly related to naval systems.
  • Proficiency with SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody).
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and MIL-STD systems engineering practices.


Required Education:



  • May require a Master's degree and/or Ph.D.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification.
  • Experience with PMA-205 programs or Naval aviation training systems.
  • Familiarity with simulation-based training and LVC (Live, Virtual, Constructive) architectures.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $110,323.71-$165,485.57 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
