Position Summary: The Director of Engineered Repair oversees all engineered repair operations, ensuring the effective execution of complex repair solutions for high-value assets. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams in developing, validating, and implementing repair procedures that meet technical, regulatory, and customer requirements. The Director will drive innovation, quality, and operational efficiency in the service & repair process. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the engineered repair function, aligning with company goals.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers focused on custom and standard repair solutions.
- Oversee the development and validation of repair processes and procedures in compliance with industry standards (e.g., FAA, ASME, ISO).
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts for recurring repair issues.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure repair strategies meet expectations and compliance requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations affecting repair methodologies.
Qualifications: Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or related field required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in engineered repair, manufacturing, rotating equipment or industrial engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in developing repair methodologies for critical systems or components.
- Strong background in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and technical documentation.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software, engineering analysis tools, and ERP systems.
- PE License or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT), welding procedures, and metallurgical assessments.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
