About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Quality Technician for our Thomasville, GA location. This role will be responsible for

Maintaining and supporting a product quality and inspection system consistent with the plant's quality policies and objectives including, but not limited to, dimensional, control of all inspection and furnace calibrations, metallurgical, NDT, and traceability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product compliance.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality documentation.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits (e.g., FAA, AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Monitor production processes and work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure calibration of inspection equipment is current and compliant with industry standards.
  • Support First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in quality or engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of quality assurance experience in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace standards such as AS9100, AS9102, and FAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software (e.g., CMM, SPC tools).
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Lean transformation and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Experience optimizing machining, special processes, and assembly operations.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal clients at the highest levels of the organization.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires up to 10% travel, including visits to other company sites, suppliers, or industry events as needed.
  • Working conditions typically include both office and shop floor environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.
  • Lifting up to 20-30 lbs. may be occasionally required.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.

Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in Thomasville, GA. This position is not eligible for relocation.
