Reset the x-ray counter and Rapid Pak counter at start of each shift.
Check the product coming out of the rapid pack machine for any defects (leakers, registration, splits, wrinkles in the seal and spots). Monitor hot dogs coming from the dryer into the SPIE loader. (Look for falling hotdogs) Monitor label and time on tan totes. Continually check the Rapid Pak machine for:
Help pocket loader hand pack hot rework back in. Remove any Hot Rework from the line after 90 minutes and take to zone 1. Then dump tan tote on the lid of the vat for your line. Then put one hot dog at a time in the holes on the lid. (Note: On hot rework tracker, need to know why product did not get hand packed back in). Responsible for the cleanliness of the machine area. Responsible for filling out the downtime report (coordinate with QX operator), film waste sheet, label verification sheet, and giveaway sheet. Monitor robot head on loader, clean or change the heads as needed. Take an hourly count of X-ray and rapid pack count, document on the report and on the efficiency board. Clean out hot dog drip pan at the end of post dryer under modular conveyor. Breaks
Responsible for writing shift number and line number on the rolls of top and bottom film. Change rework bins when they are full. Be sure to label bins and carts correctly. Communicate with maintenance and help when machine is down (always use LTT) Manage gaps in the dryer for downtime (PM's, change robot heads, rework (hand packing), and film changes). (Note: reduce excessive shrinkage in the dryer when planning and putting a gap in). Communicate to Flexicell when there will be defects coming to them. Communicate with Sinteco to see if they are seeing any defects. Communicate with QX when quality issues.
