Position Summary The Resident Assistant is responsible for the supervision and safety of all residents in the TSA Homeless Service Programs during various shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The Resident Assistant will work closely with the Resident Assistant Coordinator, Case Managers, and Program Managers to assist with consistent oversight of residents working towards their goal plans. The primary responsibility is to provide coverage, crisis intervention, security, and oversight of daily program operations and activities. Essential Functions
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift to 10lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Education
High School or Equivalent (required)
Experience
Must possess strong oral and written English communication skills. (required)
Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire. (required) Microsoft office literacy. (required) Bilingual English / Spanish, preferred. (preferred) Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a residential program for homeless families, preferred. (preferred) Minimum of one year of work-related experience.
