About the role:
As a Reliability Engineering Lead you will be a Lead Engineer in Equipment Reliability for our Specialty Metals Plant (SMP) located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. The employees of SMP manufacture zirconium-alloy tubing products used in nuclear fuel assemblies for Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel, our licensees, and other customers worldwide. At our facility, we use manufacturing and inspection systems to meet the exacting standards and demanding tolerances required by our customers. You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this position 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, implement, and track processes/capital projects and equipment upgrades that improve equipment reliability/OEE (e.g., preventive, and predictive maintenance systems, precision maintenance techniques, detailed work plans and schedules, material recommendations, troubleshooting guides, repair plans, tracking spare parts, RCA
Manage a diverse equipment engineering team, encouraging growth, accountability, and collaboration.
Review and improve preventive maintenance task lists and processes. Perform failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) or similar failure mode analysis to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans/strategies including equipment checks, and preventive & predictive Maintenance
Project leadership requires integration of team efforts across multifunctional groups with a focus on ensuring compliance to safety and regulatory requirements.
Study breakdowns and failures.
Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis based on standardized trigger points, then implement corrective actions and improvement plans resulting from the
Mitigate risk through risk register development and mitigating actions with tracking.
Champion world class Maintenance Reliability Programs including lubrication, vibration analysis, oil analysis, agreement, balancing.
Manage small to medium projects to meet and improve equipment safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, performance, and maintenance costs, to achieve desired product quality and production rates
Develop relationships with product line team, customer, suppliers, and other partners to improve.
Work with EH&S team to ensure compliance to applicable requirements including ergonomic and energy control requirements and safety and environmental regulations.
Apply engineering skills to identify root cause failures and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
Review inspection reports and analyze data to determine effectiveness, quality of inspection and appropriate inspection intervals.
Seek opportunities and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience in an Engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with the Reliability-based methodology and CMMS system integration.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Tools including Microsoft Project.
