#upjobs Key contributor on moderate to complex projects and initiatives related to the University Physicians (UP) revenue cycle operations. Evaluates and synthesizes in-depth monthly year over year performance reviews for UP as a whole, individual departments, divisions, and/or clinicians with full understanding of performance variances and concerns presented in a concrete/understandable manner. Compiles, analyzes and summarizes data such as payments, wRVU, adjustments, accounts receivable volumes/aging, payer mix shifts, line-item net payments per wRVU, terminal denials, fatal claim edits, chargemaster updates, wRVU updates, coding shifts, large payment trend variances, etc. Uses industry experience and professional/technical knowledge to develop, compile and publish critical reporting for audits, surveys, and daily/weekly performance monitoring while acting as an advisor to UP, clinical department staff and technical departments. Completes ad hoc requests from individual departments, clinicians, or UP Operations requiring financial and performance analytics. This requires collaboration with cross-functional teams both internal and external to UP to gather technical requirements necessary for root-cause analysis. Evaluates daily performance trends with the goal of identifying early concerning trends and communicating the needed efforts to meet performance targets. Serves as an expert resource providing guidance and support within UP and the clinical departments in understanding the UP revenue cycle flow, financial and productivity performance, and technology. Contributes to system enhancements &/or improvements to processes including automation of report and improved visualization of data. Position is eligible for the University Physicians work from home program. Shift
Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or related field. Prefer Masters in Business (Administration, Finance, Accounting or related) and or CPA/CMA. Preferred Qualifications
Education: Expertise in professional revenue cycle flow, Athena (IDX), Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables)/Access (table structures, joins & relationships)/PowerPoint, Power BI, basic understanding of finance/accounting and benchmarking. Position requires applicants to be detail oriented and highly organized while working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Additional Training: Moderate skill level required in Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated Hiring Range: $59,321.60 - $96,761.60 Application Materials
