Position Summary
The Accountant supports the organization's financial operations by performing general accounting tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, and financial reporting. This role assists with audits, maintains financial records, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position located in zip code 28677, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare deposits.
Support month-end and year-end closings, including audit documentation.
Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and related reporting.
Monitor revenue collection and tenant accounts.
Track expenses and maintain fixed asset and investment records.
Assist with benefit reviews, system issues, and agency events.
Respond to inquiries related to charges and account balances.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven accounting experience, specifically in A/P, A/R, payroll, month-end and year-end closings.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and systems.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
