Velosity Forest Lake is searching for a 3rd Shift Product Auditor who will be responsible for auditing products in operations to ensure product conformance during manufacturing to improve our First Time Right and On-Time Delivery performance.
This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:30pm - 7:30am
The typical pay range for this role: $20.52 - $30.79. This role is also eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target.
This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

Essential Duties:
- Work cooperatively with all team members to achieve organizational objectives and KPIs (key performance indicators)
- Perform product focused audits in operations (molding and second ops) on critical, high cost, or products with known quality concerns (Corrective actions, MRBs, Complaints, RMAs, etc.) as directed by supervisors and leads across all shifts. Product auditors are expected to work with personnel in both molding and second ops to ensure alignment between the functional areas.
- Provide clarification and coaching to operations personnel in both molding and second ops making quality product decisions while coordinating with QA and sustaining engineering roles to ensure product quality requirements are clearly documented and universally understood.
- Key point of contact responsible for the coordination and training of rework and MRB orders including conformation that instructions are adequate for the operation, providing coaching for personnel to ensure expectations and requirements are understood, communicating work order status to product auditors on other shifts, ensuring orders are completed in an effective and efficient manner and auditing the completed products to ensure the operations are successful.
- Provide concise records of product audits and findings for daily shift reports sent daily by the supervisor or lead by documenting products audited and important information for the incoming shifts. Communicate relevant product information for incoming shifts at each shift handoff meeting.
- Work with operations and engineering teams to identify opportunities for continual improvement, implement solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of the improvements.
- Lead by example, compliance to quality management, regulatory/legal, and safety company processes and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- Preferred three years of experience in injection molding and related value add processes with a minimum of one year in product inspection or quality assurance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; effective business correspondence and reporting; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IQMS; coach employees with limited molding experience; participate with continual improvement projects.
- Injection molding technology and processes, specifically with identification of cosmetic features of injection molded and value add processes, working knowledge of effective solving processes.
- To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; work effectively with all team members to prevent quality escapes and drive continual improvement activities and to prevent reoccurring issues/non-conformances.
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.

Work Environment:
This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
