JOB TITLE: IT Asset Management ITAM Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM processes and applications in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and goals. This role ensures that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT assets are properly tracked, documented, and maintained. The Sr. ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM Engineer will work closely with IT infrastructure, operations, and security to ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert for ITOM and ITAM within a large global enterprise ServiceNow environment
  • Design and administer the ServiceNow CMDB hierarchy across the enterprise, including relationships between CIs
  • Define and establish governance and data management policies to ensure the accuracy of the CMDB
  • Perform regular audits of the CMDB to ensure CMDB health is maintained
  • Ensure CMDB aligns with ITSM processes
  • Optimize ServiceNow Discovery performance and schedules
  • Deploy and manage MID Servers across global data centers
  • Define and maintain alignment with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliation processes to maintain CMDB accuracy and compliance across distributed IT environments
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, operations and security teams
  • Develop and manage ITAM processes, including asset discovery, lifecycle management, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure the ITAM applications track the lifecycle of hardware, software, and other IT assets, including license management and warranty tracking.
  • Desing and implement integrations between ServiceNow and third-party enterprise tools to enhance CMDB data
  • Develop and optimize import sets, transform maps, and data policies
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on asset and CI data to stakeholders and management.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on ITOM and ITAM best practices



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Operations, with a focus on ServiceNow ITOM solutions
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and CSDM.
  • Excellent understanding of IT operations and governance, including ITSM processes
  • Experience with ITOM, ITAM and ITSM processes and frameworks



Skills



  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, plan and execute with little supervision
  • In-depth understanding of ITSM processes, technology and methods applicable to platform management
  • Good communication skills with the ability to detail technical solutions
  • Ability to build and present solutions to senior management
  • Collaboration-minded and able to work constructively with other teams to achieve common goals
  • Strong background in developing and maintaining effective internal ITOM processes and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:$97,600.00to$122,000.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:7.0%
