The Academic Success Coordinator coordinates activities in the Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) including outreach efforts to students, connecting students to available resources, building relationships with campus partners, and organizing program activities. This position works closely with CAA staff to support and guide academic student success programs, coordinate logistics of student-facing events and services, and works to increase campus awareness of CAA resources and initiatives.
Job Description Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Organizes and coordinates support services for a variety of student populations. Works closely with CAA staff to support peer services including peer tutoring and supplemental instruction.
- Assists with organizing and coordinating student worker schedules and event logistics with staff and campus partners.
- Collaborates with campus partners to build relationships and develop programming to support the academic success of FGCU's undergraduate student population. Serves as a point of contact for student and campus partner outreach support.
- Supports the implementation of academic support services designed to increase retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students. Encourages students in the use of available resources.
- Tracks and maintains program attendance reports and cross-references with CAA outreach populations; performs additional outreach and meets with students as needed.
- Collaborates with Assistant Director and Academic Support Coordinators during training and interview processes to support engagement and leadership development for Student Leaders.
- Supports CAA leadership with monthly and annual assessment of services and resources.
- Assists with the implementation and execution of outreach efforts for the CAA.
- Assists with delivering presentations on office services/events/functions on behalf of the CAA.
- Participates in office/unit-specific and University-wide events and programming with CAA staff and student leaders.
- Participates in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Engages in professional development and training as appropriate and needed.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either four years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education student services, academic/co-curricular support, student success initiatives, academic advising, case management, peer-based student support programming, or related areas.
