DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An individual in this role engages in semi-skilled tasks independently or provides support to a skilled tradesperson, to carry out routine assignments. The position necessitates the operation of various tools and equipment related to construction, grounds maintenance, and general upkeep, often requiring the application of skills that are developed through hands-on experience. The employee is expected to perform minor repairs along with regular grounds maintenance, custodial responsibilities, and litter collection with a significant degree of autonomy, with their work being evaluated upon completion. For more complex construction or repair tasks, the employee works under the guidance of a skilled trades worker or a supervisor, ensuring that higher-level tasks are completed to the required standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal full-time employment without benefits.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
