Summary:

As a Business Development Engineer at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, working with those customers to provide input into product development, and for supporting the strategic plans of our product line within the Microwave Products Group (MPG).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generating and achieving monthly and annual sales forecasts including technical, quotation, and advocacy support to customers
  • Increasing annual bookings, diversification of customer base, and providing customer support and satisfaction for MPG products
  • Acting as primary MPG-West Chester & Salisbury Solutions point of contact for select existing and new customer organizations or regions
  • Providing timely responses to customer requests for quotations and product/capabilities information
  • Acting as liaison to other MPG-West Chester & Salisbury departments to resolve customer issues
  • Identifying market requirements for new or improved products and features.
  • Interfacing with outside commissioned regional sales representatives
  • Collaborating with engineering and program management professionals in preparation of technical and price proposals
  • Acting as marketing champion for specific projects
  • Identifying adjacency opportunities for MPG capabilities.
  • Tracks, obtains information for, and updates opportunity status information in Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Creates monthly and annual sales forecast updates
  • Supports general marketing activities such as trade-shows, catalog updates, marketing communications material, presentations, etc.

Knowledge, skills and abilities strongly preferred include:

  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Strong RF and communications technical background
  • Ability to create excellent long-term customer relationships
  • Ability to generate profitable sales growth

Requirements Include:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be eligible to attain a US Security Clearance
  • Minimum of a BSEE from an accredited four-year college or university required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the RF and microwave electronics industry required; aerospace & defense industry preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Development/Sales required. Proven experience with the acquisition of new contracts and customers
  • Military service in communications or EW areas is a strong plus
  • MBA is a plus
  • Minimum ability to travel 25% of the time, though travel will vary

Work Arrangement : Hybrid

Pay Range: $122,000.00 - $177,000.00 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
