Summary

Summary:

This position is designed for someone interested in joining the recently formed Precision Medicine Council, which is launching MaineHealth's (MH) new Precision Medicine (PM) program. The Precision Medicine Council is focused primarily on identifying and developing initiatives that improve the health of our communities through research and education. This Program Manager will work under the general supervision of Dr. Anne Breggia, Chair of the PM Council. This newly created role will have primary responsibility for:

  • Contributing to development of strategy and vision for MH Precision Medicine
  • Contributing to communications of program objectives, evaluations, and outcome measurements to MH leadership
  • Maintaining all operational aspects of the MH Precision Medicine program including development and maintenance of program materials; as well as planning, implementation, and evaluation of PM program initiatives
  • Assisting in the development of MH Precision Medicine Council budget
  • With oversight from the Chair, seeking outside funding sources when appropriate and assisting with coordinating or writing grant proposals.
  • Working with the MH Philanthropy Office as needed to meet financial goals
  • Reconciling the monthly program budget with Financial Services
  • Preparing PM Council meeting agendas, materials, taking minutes and providing follow up meeting notes and action items resulting from PM Council meetings
  • Gathering, tracking and analyzing data generated from PM Council initiatives
  • Scheduling meetings with stakeholders as identified by the PM Council to meet program goals
  • Managing administrative operations of the program in conjunction with the Chair
  • Assisting the Chair in the evaluation of staffing for program expansion
  • Updating the program website information as needed
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Report for the program
  • Identifying and developing process improvements as necessary for success of the program
  • Overseeing regulatory compliance for the program
  • Preparing quarterly reports of program statistics

The availability of this position may be directly related to grant funding.

This position is an onsite role at our Scarborough, ME location, with opportunities for occasional remote work.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree and three years' experience; Master's preferred
  2. License/Certifications: Appropriate licensure is required
  3. Experience: Demonstrated experience in administration and the management of staff
  4. Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and research acumen required
  5. Skills should include ability to troubleshoot issues with regard to the program or office.
  6. Must have good organizational and personnel management skills, communication skills, both personal and written, business planning acumen.
  7. Must have a working knowledge of administrative policy and/or federal regulations e.g. DOL, USCIS, Health care, Research or other applicable field
  8. Current best practice with associated technologies
